If you like the possibilities, then most likely we are a good fit. Feel free to reach out via phone or email for a no obligation visit.
Let’s Get Started!
Who Do I Serve
I have been very fortunate over the years to have a great group of clients that I work with. While each situation is unique in its own right there are a few commonalities that might help you determine if you would also benefit from my services.
- Most clients are either retired or soon to be retired within 10 years
- Most clients are conservative investors and want the maximum gain without taking high risk to get it.
- My clients are patient, long term investors that are committed – not short term trading driven by fear or greed.
- Most clients are successful, family oriented with a purpose that exceeds just money and belongings.
How I Work
I am a fee-only financial advisor serving as a Fiduciary for my clients. This means I am held to a legal obligation to put clients interests ahead of my own in all recommendations I make.
Each client will receive a custom financial and investment management plan unique to what is important to them (goals & objectives). Initially, we will have 2 to 3 meetings that will determine what you like currently in your planning, what you don’t like and if there is an investment or strategy that you want to try but are not sure if it is right for you.
My specific area of expertise is in the transition to retirement. Primarily rollovers, employer stock options and retirement income. Regarding tax planning, investment management and risk management I have a great team of experts.
As you see with the blog and other mediums like newsletters and email – I communicate regularly with clients. Gotta love technology! I do this intentionally to keep clients updated quickly and because our summers are spent in Colorado.
With the world of financial becoming more and more complex, in order to perform the job you hire me to do I no longer have meetings at any time. Rather I have blocked out 1 week each month just for doing meetings and use the other 3 weeks to manage money, research and stay in touch with you regarding retirement and the challenges faced.
Normally I will visit with each client 2 times per year (in person or virtually) and provide unlimited email support and phone (if necessary) between meetings. Many of my clients are from all over the United States and we work together virtually. Again, gotta love technology! Web conferencing, phone and email have been a great way to communicate regularly.
All clients have 24/7 secure online access to their accounts. In doing so we provide real time account alerts and monitoring to protect you and keep all planning is done at the time it is needed rather than be reactionary like many advisors are in providing support.
What I Charge
There two services for you;
- Simple, low, flat fee for financial planning. In almost all cases the planning fee is $699 and with 100% satisfaction guarantee or you pay nothing.
- For clients who would like ongoing help managing their investments a fee arrangement is applied as a percentage of the assets under management. We strive to keep costs low as possible, therefore keeping the return in your pocket (the way it should be). If you would like complete details of my firms fee schedule please use the contact form and we will be happy to provide you with an estimate.
When you hire us to manage your investments it is done so via an independent custodian (we never take custody of assets). This protects you from any fraud or theft (i.e. Bernie Madoff). You can choose the custodian you are most comfortable with like TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, Schwab Institutional and TradePMR.
We strive to be your thinking partner in a team of professionals that come together to make your retirement planning enjoyable. Good planning and investment management takes time and doesn’t happen overnight. It takes patience, time and trust in one another to obtain the outcome we are working towards.
In managing our time intentionally we will always give our best to clients through personal attention and financial management support. Our goal is to help you retire with confidence. In doing so we promise to spend many hours researching to find the benefits for those who place their trust with me and my firm.
One statement I would like to make with technology. Since we have web-based virtual meeting capabilities we can work no matter where you are in the United States. Even though you are thousand miles away you will still have the personal attention! If you have never tried it I think you will be pleasantly surprised how easy, efficient and enjoyable it can be. I also would like to mention if you live in Minnesota or Colorado, we can visit you in person as well.
So if you have read the above and would like to have a visit about working together I am happy to invest an hour of my time to listen to your situation. We will a quick chat by phone, answer questions you have and determine if you would like to talk again. To set up an initial meeting, please use the contact form.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and how we can work together.
